empty project crashing - Beginners question

Yanis Lu
Hi there.

Learning to code with SWIFT. downloaded one of courses, yet having issues.

For some reason can't even run almost empty project.
I created basic layout in storyboard, label, textfield and button

did nothing with code, yet when I try to run simulation app is crashing.
Existing code in viewcontroler.swift file is:

//

//  ViewController.swift

//  fingers2

//

//  Created by Janis Lubins on 14.02.15.

//  Copyright (c) 2015. g. Janis Lubins. All rights reserved.

//

import UIKit

class ViewController: UIViewController {

    override func viewDidLoad() {

        super.viewDidLoad()

        // Do any additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib.

    }

    override func didReceiveMemoryWarning() {

        super.didReceiveMemoryWarning()

        // Dispose of any resources that can be recreated.

    }

}

this is how it looks before I run the app:

what happens after I run:

can any one tell me what did I do wrong and how to fix it?
and if my question is to basic for this group, maybe you can give a hint on where my question would be more appropriate?

Thanks :)

It looks like this is a Cocoa frameworks (or Xcode) issue, not with the Swift language itself. Apple’s cocoa-dev mailing list, or their developer forums, would be better places to discuss this.

(And from what you’ve posted, I can’t see anything wrong, so I don’t know why the app is crashing.)
